Left Hive: Still struggling. They did take all the 1:1 Right Hive: Wow – they’re really doing well. I did observe lots (2 dozen) of hive beetles. I squared about half of them. I’m thinking the beetle traps need bait? Or oil instead of water. I did see some some beetles in the trap dead……

Given the state of the queen (or lack of) in the left hive I opted for a quick check while topping up food. Both hives needed 1:1. Left hive had a queen cup. I looked at 3 frames in the right hive to see if there was an obvious one with eggs to move over.…

Right Hive: Hive looks good. Capped brood, honey. Queen was not spotted but clearly she is there and has been busy. Easy hive to work in. Really happy with this hive. Left Hive: Comb drawn out, but no brood or queen observed.

Swapped feeders because right hive is still eating way more. This will check to make sure that one isn’t leaking. Added a full quart minus 1/2” of 1:1 left hive (formerly feeder was on right). Which means they ate it all in 2 days! Added ~1/2 quart to the right hive (formerly feeder we on…
